Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate

EVA is a material which embodies a range of useful properties for the extreme conditions to which horses' boots are subjected. It comes as a resin which can be formed to suit the purpose of the product.

Its outstanding flexibility and high impact absorption make it ideal for use as padding in various sports equipment, including equine boots. Additionally, it retains its shape well and has good tear resistance, so this hard-wearing material can also constitute the lining. This removes the need for an additional layer, which would add cost and complexity.

Within the boots the lining is created with a corrugated finish that helps to channel heat and sweat away from the skin. This action minimises the heating effect of boots upon vulnerable tendons.
