British Eventing Second Coaching Development Team

The Coaching Development Team (Class of 2007) offers the less experienced rider a top class introduction to eventing. Trainers at the Tri-zone REACT Clinics will be Olympic Medallists Jeanette Brakewell and Tiny Clapham with BE Accredited Coaches Ros Morgan, Simon Lawrance, Sue Edwards, Milly Tonks, Sue Ringrose, Caroline Creighton, Jonathan Chapman, Jo Marsh Smith and Charlotte Bathe.

The Tri-zone REACT Clinics will take place over this winter 2009/2010. REACT brings together the three phases of Eventing and will show how they interact with each other. The purpose of the clinics is to get pupils to learn to REACT to the varied situations they will confront during a day's competition. The result will be a horse and rider combination which is more responsive and therefore safer. One and a half hours of ridden instruction will be followed by a class room session, incorporating a review of the ridden work, and supporting theory. There will be a maximum of six riders per session, with two trainers in attendance at each of the indoor venues.

The objectives of the REACT coaches, to improve the safety and enjoyment of competitors new to eventing, are matched by Equilibrium's product development ethos.
